Smrithi is an excellent music teacher. She has been teaching my two daughters aged 17 and 11 for the past three years. She is very professional and organized in her lessons. My kids have improved in their sense of rhythm, understanding the genre of the song, meaning of the lyrics, ways to express each piece, exposure to multiple Indian languages, and most of all having fun while learning! She has established a warm rapport with my daughters; they look forward to her classes.

For almost three years, my 13-year-old daughter has been participating in light Indian music classes at Nagu Academy. She is deeply immersed in the classes and benefits from both individualized and group instruction. Smrithi, the instructor, is highly organized and consistently provides us with comprehensive feedback on our daughter's progress. Despite teaching across different time zones and through virtual means, Smrithi connects extremely well with children.

My daughter Advika trained under Smrithi for close to two years. The songs taught by Smrithi are a perfect fit for someone looking to expand into the Kannada folk and devotional genre. They are melodious pieces that bring out the sweetness and simplicity of our culture. We appreciate the meticulous tracking of progress and open feedback with parents that she maintains. Smrithi did a wonderful job teaching online; she is flexible and open to different methods of teaching.

Passion is to teach what salt is to food. Smrithi is the perfect fit for this. She possesses all the traits of a great teacher, including perseverance, empathy, dedication, communication, and most importantly, subject-matter expertise. A young instructor may seem immature and unqualified to carry on the legacy, which can be daunting. Smrithi, however, is the opposite. She exudes such devotion and focus, which comes through in her intonation and is transmitted to the learner. She is very organized and gives honest, constructive feedback, and keeps us in the loop. Smrithi has been teaching our daughter Sana light music for 3 years now and we couldn't be happier. Every week, Sana looks forward to and loves her classes. We are lucky to have Smrithi guide her and train her to be the best.

My daughter Advika trained under Smrithi for close to two years. The songs taught by Smrithi are a perfect fit for someone looking to expand into the Kannada folk and devotional genre. They are melodious pieces that bring out the sweetness and simplicity of our culture. Although we don't speak Kannada, our daughter was able to pick up quickly and sing the songs with the right pronunciation. Smrithi did a wonderful job teaching online; she is flexible and open to different methods of teaching. We appreciate the meticulous tracking of progress and open feedback with parents that Smrithi maintains. The monthly progress reports and structured and dedicated posting of songs and lyrics helped us access the material with ease. We are happy Smrithi has taken the next step of forming an academy to expand her reach and make it available to a wider audience. We wish Smrithi and Nagu academy the very best in the future.
